How to Install the Engineered Wood Flooring

There are three kinds of engineered wood flooring installation: Floating Down, Glue Down, Nail Down/Staple Down, which one is best for you?

First, Let’s have an idea about these three installation methods:

Floating Down: The floor planks lock together along the edges with click system, floating as a whole over a moisture-proof, acoustic underlayment without being glued or fixed to the subfloor.

Glue down: Applying a specialized heavy-duty flooring adhesive directly to the subfloor with a trowel, then pressing the engineered wood planks securely into the glue

Nail Down/Staple Down: A pneumatic floor nailer or stapler drives fasteners at an angle through the tongue of each board, hiding the nail and anchoring it into a wooden subfloor.
